The emblem of Panionios FC is a shield in red and blue hues and on it is written the full name of the club (Panionios Gymnastikos Syllogos Smyrnis – Panionios Athletic Club of Smyrni) as well as the founding year of the club (1890).
The red colour symbolises the Greek blood spilled during the Asia Minor Catastrophe and the blue colour is a tribute to the blue of the Aegean Sea and to Greece.
