The MVP award of the 20th matchday was awarded to Zé Eduardo playing for OFI, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by the FC OFI officer, Mr Manolis Tziritas.
After the ceremony, the OFI player stated:
"I am really happy to be receiving this award and I hope I will continue the same way in order to help the team in every possible way so it can be strong for the remaining of the championship."
On his mediocre start in the team, he admitted that: "It's true I did not have such a good start in OFI, but I now feel really good and believe I can help the team more in comparison to my display so far and that the team can help me. We all want to help OFI, a great and historic club in the Greek championship, this is why we will work even harder to achieve more things."
As regards his future and on whether OFI can be a stepping stone to his career, he pointed out that: "OFI is definitely a great club. I keep trying and working so that at some point I will be able to return to Italy where I was playing or to another great European club, you never know."
Finally, as regards the Sunday match against Asteras Tripolis, he stated: "Asteras is a well-known and good team, known to everyone, however OFI has an equally good team. We go there to try to win and get the three points."
Mr Tziritas stated the following: "I am really proud to honour our footballer Zé Eduardo and I also wish to thank the president and the Board for honouring through me all the FC OFI staff, all officers and all departments that work day and night and try to do their best for this club."
On the work done by all Club's officers all these years, he said: "Our work may not be known to outsiders, but this work is essential so as the football department can deliver. Everyone in the club, be it the graphic artist or a steward or a worker in the pitch, they all strive for perfection and proper functioning so that also in terms of competition, the team may be able to perform."
Among Mr Tzirita's duties is ticket management, with OFI being among the top clubs with most tickets whereas season tickets saw great demand this season: "The fans really support the team this year, they realise the good work done last season and this is their way to respond to the good work done by the Board.
I believe that we will get better with each passing year, both on the pitch and as regards the attendance in the stadium. Everyone, even the most doubtful, must realise that this club is transparent and giving its own fights, only assisted by its fans and the administration and no one else. It's a great and fair fight by everyone and we are heading to a really good direction."
