The Best Goal award of the 34th matchday was awarded to Victoras Klonaridis playing for Panathinaikos, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The ceremony was held at the "Georgios Kalafatis" Sports Centre and the award was presented to the 23-year-old striker by the Panathinaikos scout, Juan Ramón Rocha.
After the ceremony, the Panathinaikos player stated:
On receiving the award: "Firstly, I wish to thank God for this award and I must say that I am truly blessed because I only scored three goals this season, but two of them were voted as Best Goals. I believe this was my best goal because when you pass someone in football like this and you score, then this is an amazing feeling both for us and the fans. It felt really good and I am really happy."
On how he scored the goal and his dedication: "It all happened in one moment. Before you receive the ball, you see who's next to you and when I received the ball I saw the space and it just happened, without any second thoughts. This was the best feeling after the goal because I was waiting for this day to come before the season was over. This day has arrived with a special goal for my son who will be born soon. This made me feel really great."
Mr Juan Ramón Rocha stated the following:
On Klonaridis receiving the best goal award of the 34th matchday: "This goal was a personal achievement, it was hard and beautiful because if we want to talk in football terms, pulling a panna at that point – and particularly if you finish it off with a goal – is a personal achievement. And it's even better when this is combined with a victory. I told Victoras that I hope he will score a similar goal in the play-offs.
On his duties as the new scout of Panathinaikos: "We will try to bring players to Panathinaikos that will help advance the club's level."
