The Best Goal award of the 21st matchday was awarded to Victoras Klonaridis playing for Panathinaikos, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The ceremony was held at the "Georgios Kalafatis" Sports Centre and the award was presented to the 23-year-old striker by the academy coach of Panathinaikos, Kostas Tarasis.
After the ceremony, the Panathinaikos player stated:
On receiving the Best Goal award: "It's always an honour to receive the Best Goal award and this is the first time for me. I hope it will not be the last. I wish to thank all those that voted for me."
On the goal: "I saw that the defender had moved out really quickly, I had the space to control the ball and move past him and this is what I did. The first move was perfect, I decided to take the shot and the ball ended up in the nets in a wonderful way. This must the most beautiful goal I have scored in my career."
Mr Tarasis stated the following:
"As a defender, I would not wish to have him as an opponent. This was a really beautiful goal, but then again the goal is the beauty of football. I wish him to score another goal on Sunday, even if it's not as beautiful. The important thing is to net the ball."
