The MVP award of the 22nd matchday was awarded to Vangelis Ikonomou playing for Panionios, who topped the competition organised by Super League Greece, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA.
After the ceremony, the Panionios player stated:
On the MVP award: "It is very important for me to be named MVP of the matchday. In particular since this was a very difficult match for my team in OIympiacos's stadium. This award follows a very important victory against Olympiacos in their home. I wish to dedicate this award to my teammates because had it not been for them, I would not have won it. I also dedicate it to our fans because it's a historic victory for Panionios."
On whether they have realised the importance of this victory: "It's just a victory for us. It's just that its enormity was great, however to us it was just a victory and another three points."
On the future of the championship: "We still have 5 matchdays left. We have a difficult schedule ahead of us and we want to continue achieving similar results. I believe we will be placed in a good position for the play-offs."
On their goal for the play-off matches: "We will go after the best. The sky's the limit."
