Question by Konstantinos Terzis, Vassilis Krestenitis
Have you ever thought about playing for an international team? If so, where would you like to play?
It is a challenge for a player to play for an international team. I would like at some point to play for an Italian team and the reason for this is that their game is very tactical.
Question by Petros Kolokouris
Although you are just 23 years old, you have been with Asteras Tripolis for 6 years and many consider you the standard-bearer of the team. Would you wish to remain in the club for many years to come?
I have been with the team since I was very young. I have had very beautiful years with many joys as well as sorrows. And yes, I want to stay in Asteras for many years to come because this is my home.
Question by Haralambos Panagoulis, Seraphim Kouniotis
What is the reason behind the fact that the team has not reached its full performance so far, in your opinion?
Let's start at the beginning. The suspension was bad for us. We had proven that we were ready to start playing on August 20th. We then had some injuries that held us back. I believe, however, that the team has started showing a good face and that things will improve even more.
Question by H. P. Kakaletris
How does it feel being one of the team captains?
It's an honour for me to be one of the captains of Asteras. The armband however is a big responsibility for a player and it also makes you more mature both as a person and as a player.
Question by Vassilis Tsakiridis
How is your everyday life in Tripolis?
The city is ideal for playing football. It's very quiet and the pace is slow and relaxed. My whole life and everyday routine revolves around the team. Training sessions, matches and a few good moments with my own people and friends.
What would you advise young football players who wish to be involved in football?
It takes many things for a child to manage to be involved in football, but the main things are everyday hard work, decency and patience. A child should possess this last element in particular throughout their course, whether they play top-tier football or amateur football.
From Korakovouni to Tripolis and through Asteras to Europe. How easy/hard was it?
Everything happened so fast. I still have not realised when I left my village and took the big step. When I played in Korakovouni, I never imagined I would have this career and all these experiences. But when I came to Asteras, I kept on dreaming and some dreams have already been realised.
What is your next personal goal?
Goals are set in football day by day. Every new day is an opportunity to me. I want the team to find its good pace and to win the next matches in order to get where we deserve to be. And we deserve to be at a high place. My next personal goal is to play for the National Team. I have the will and patience to do this and I work to achieve it."
The winner of the draw for the signed souvenir by Dimitris Kourbelis, offered by FC ASTERAS TRIPOLIS, is Mr Petros Kolokouris.
