Super League, in the framework of its initiatives and activities aiming at the development of professional football, particularly during these harsh financial and social conditions, has started a series of communications and collaborations with top Greek educational institutions specialising in Sports Management.
The basic goal of the organising authority is to promote research and education on specific areas that directly affect football, in order to come to useful conclusions that will substantially improve professional football structures in our country.
As a first step, already since August 2013, Super League collaborates with the Department of Sports Management from the University of Peloponnese (Mr Th. Kriemadis and Mr T. Alexopoulos), while at the same time the President of Super League, Mr Yannis Moralis, and Competition Director, Mr Mihalis Anagnostou, are in constant communication with the Departments of Physical Education and Sport Science of Komotini (Mr D. Gargalianos), of Thessaloniki (Mr G. Tzetzis), of Trikala (Mr A. Barlas) and of Athens (Mr G. Afthinos), in order to set a common strategy aiming at the exchange of opinions and informing all stakeholders about issues regarding the research and education in football.
Super League will enhance contacts and information meetings so as the communication between the organising authority and many educational Institutions will continue; this communication should also continue between the educational Institutions in order to implement all these initiatives aiming at improving professional football structures.
Competition Director, Mr Mihalis Anagnostou, stated the following: "Research and education of officials and institutional partners are two of the main pillars of football development. To this end, Super League holds a series of meetings with institutional bodies focusing on sports education, with professors as well as with students who will be called to staff and manage football structures in our country. The goal of both parties is to define an integrated common research and education web-based programme as well as other initiatives, to the benefit of all institutional partners of Super League, the educational institutions and also the students focusing on Sports. The benefits of this collaboration will be reciprocal and our goal is to continue the communication and collaboration with the educational Institutions."
