Super League, in the framework of the continuous education of its member Clubs and aiming at exchanging views and upgrading the offered services regarding the safe staging of football matches, held the first round of meetings with the safety officers of FC Ergotelis, FC Olympiacos, FC OFI, FC Panetolikos, FC Panionios and FC Platanias.
The thematic units developed by the safety officers of the organising authority focused on the conditions, the obligations and the duties of the officers and the safety staff of the Clubs, the contractual obligations of the private security companies, the safety and staging plans of a match, as well as the safe evacuation of the stadia, including the transportation of fans, based on the existing legal framework.
The second round of meetings will be held in Thessaloniki with the participation of safety officers from FC Aris, FC Veria, FC Panthrakikos, FC PAOK, FC PAS Giannina and FC SKODA Xanthi, and will conclude with the safety officers from FC Asteras Tripolis, FC Atromitos Athinon, FC Apollon Smyrnis, FC AEL Kalloni, FC Levadiakos and FC Panathinaikos.
Mihalis Anagnostou, the Super League General Manager, stated the following: "Taking into consideration the actual conditions of organising and staging football matches, we exchanged views with the officers of all Clubs so as to achieve better coordination and information of all sides. Our goal is to improve the levels of sage staging of Super League matches, while taking of course into account the planning particularities of the stadia used by the clubs, such as urban density, neighbouring with other infrastructures and the general condition of the stadia. Our goal is to gradually improve the level of the offered safety services to the fans, through the collaboration and the implementation of jointly accepted rules."
