The Best Goal award of the 10th matchday was awarded to Stefano Napoleoni playing for Atromitos, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award to the Italian midfielder was presented by the old Atromitos star and one of the top appearance makers of the club, Mr Yannis Livathinos.
After the ceremony, the Atromitos player stated:
"I am definitely really happy to have scored this goal because football becomes even more beautiful as a spectacle." I did not understand many things at the moment, I did mean to make a header and I acted instantly. Later, after I saw this a few times, about 300 of them (he laughed), I realised I was on my knees when I received the ball from the centre circle and I scored the goal with a header, which is not one of my strong points. I am happy to have scored these three goals against Asteras, however the most important thing is that those three goals won our side the three points. This is the display we need to have in the match against Panthrakikos as well, we need to be focused and to score a quick goal that will contribute to a more free game."
Mr Livathinos stated the following:
"I wish to warmly congratulate Stefano on his goal which, in my opinion, will be voted as best goal of the season. Some goals need luck and some goals need ability. This wonderful goal needed both. I wish to Stefano to continue scoring goals for our side's benefit and for him as well. We love Atromitos very much and I am confident that we will be seeing the club in the top positions of the Greek championship for many years to come."
