Super League Greece immediately initiated the financial and material support of people and wildlife affected by the wildfires, following the unanimous decision of its Board of Directors.
Realizing the magnitude of the damage caused, Super League Greece implemented specific actions of material and financial support of our fellow citizens and wildlife affected by the devastating wildfires.
All Super League Greece member clubs, as well as Interwetten, the Gold Sponsor of the Super League Interwetten Championship, contributed financially to this Super League initiative.
From the very beginning, the Super League teams rushed to send food, basic necessities and medical equipment to the affected areas, showing their solidarity with the affected persons.
In addition, Super League Greece financially supported with the amount of 100,000 euros institutions supporting our fellow citizens, as well as animal welfare organizations, with the commitment that it will help in every effort to alleviate our fellow citizens, but also the fauna.
Super League Greece distributed financial support to the Greek Red Cross, the State Aid Fund and the ANIMA Wildlife Protection and Care Association.
Responding to the request of lower categories football clubs in Evia, Super League Greece is sending sports equipment, so that they can rebuild their football grounds and offer a way out to the young people of the area.
In addition, Matchday 1 of Super League Interwetten 2021-22 Championship is dedicated to the support campaign of the persons affected by the wildfires, another initiative that was approved unanimously by the Board of Super League Greece.
With the hashtag #slgr_hope Super League Greece will coordinate the information and awareness campaign for the affected persons and fauna.
