The Best Goal award of the 26th matchday was awarded to Serge Dié playing for FC Skoda Xanthi, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by Mr Giorgos Berberoglou, member of the Board of the Club.

After the ceremony, the FC Skoda Xanthi player stated the following:

"I wish to thank God who gave me the strength to score another beautiful goal that was voted by fans as best goal of the matchday. I wish to thank my club too, that gives me the possibility to play at high level, despite my age. I wish to thank the administration of FC Xanthi, my coach as well as my teammates for the way they are treating me. Everyone in Xanthi trusts me, this is why I will always do my best to help the club."

Being asked whether he will succeed in being given one more award until the end of the season, as this is his second award, he replied:

"I will definitely receive another one! I promise this to the club and our fans!"
