The MVP award of the 24th matchday was awarded to Nicolás Martínez playing for Panetolikos, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by the president of the Regional Football Club Association of Aetolia-Acarnania, Mr Takis Papachristos.
After the ceremony, the Panetolikos player stated:
"I am very happy to have won this award and I thank the fans who voted for me. I believe awards are the result of team effort. Had Villafanes not scored the goal following my pass and Alves not taken a successful penalty kick following the penalty I won, I may not have won this award today. I dedicate it to my family and my pregnant wife, to the club's fans and supporters and to Lucas Villafanes and I wish him to recover from his injury."
On the future of the championship, he said: "We should treat each match separately. We are playing against Panthrakikos on Saturday and we wish to achieve the best possible outcome in this difficult match too."
Mr Papachristos stated the following:
"I thank FC Panetolikos for the honour to present this award to Nicolás Martínez. We all know he is an important player and this is confirmed by his win in the contest in which participate fans throughout Greece. Panetolikos are having an exceptional campaign and we hope to see the dream of participation in a European competition coming true."
