The Best Goal award of the 3rd matchday was awarded to Nicolao Dumitru playing for Veria, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA.
After the ceremony, the Veria player stated:
"I am happy because this was a great goal, which was also important for our side. As the whole thing played out, I made a natural move, I wasn't thinking anything particular. While on the pitch, I realised that this was a beautiful goal, but when I saw it on TV, I realised it was even more beautiful. The most important thing is that this goal helped us win the match. Had we not won the match, this goal would not have been that important to me."
On how this award will positively affect his psychology, he said: "This award motivates me. It also proves that hard work can lead to this award. I am happy and I wish to continue like this and do even better."
On whom he dedicates his goal to: "I wish to dedicate it to my family, to my girlfriend and of course to Veria who believed in me and signed me as a player."
