The MVP award for the 29th matchday was awarded to the player of Iraklis Michalis Bastakos who topped the competition organised by Super League Greece, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA.
After the ceremony, the player of Iraklis said:
"I am very happy to have won these two awards in such a short period. Of course my teammates greatly contributed to this achievement. It was a team effort and that's how I managed to stand out."
On winning the MVP award for a match of great importance for Iraklis:
"Yes, I think that's true, this goal secured our staying in the top league; I also think that many people were really happy, in particular the fans of Iraklis."
On whether he anticipated scoring goals and winning awards when going to Iraklis during the winter transfer period:
"This was definitely not on my mind; my attention was on how the team could be saved." On his thoughts back then, he added: "I did not have much playing time in Atromitos; I wanted to play in a team, to have playing time. Given this, I believed in me a lot and I knew that if I was given time, I would definitely be able to contribute to the team's goals."
On what his teammates say after all these awards he has won:
"They are very happy and they support me but, as I said, this is a team effort and they have enormously contributed in this achievement."
On last matcday's fixture, the away match of Iraklis against Asteras Tripolis:
"We are not afraid anymore, we will go to play stress-free, enjoy the match and put our minds at ease."
On being on a loan from Atromitos and his future:
"I became attached to Iraklis; I wait for the championship to be over and I will then consider my options."
