Super League, in collaboration with FARE (Football Against Racism in Europe) – official collaborator of UEFA – will dedicate the 8th matchday of the championship (22-24 October 2016) to the campaign for the information and awareness raising against racism and discrimination.
Super League participates in this European campaign for the tenth year in the row, aiming at reminding the fans and everyone involved in football that people cannot be discriminated and isolated due to racial or other criteria.
By using football's dynamic, Super League actively participates and supports the European Week against Racism; besides, Super League has been participating in this campaign since the league's establishment.
In this time especially, given the sharp increase in the wave of refugees to our country, it is important to promote positive examples and the ideals of humanity.
Racism has no place in football.
During matchday 8 of the Super League Championship, a series of activities will show that Football know no borders; using the main message "Show Racism the Red Card", footballers, referees and children will hold banners bearing messages against racism, during line-up.
Additionally, the team captains will wear FARE armbands, sound messages against racism will be broadcasted and relevant videos will be shown to all stadia with matrices.
