The MVP award for matchday 15 was awarded to Marko Marin playing for Olympiacos, who topped the competition organised by Super League Greece, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players and NOVA. The award was presented by the vice-president of FC Olympiacos Mr Savvas Theodoridis.

After presenting the award to Marin, Mr Theodoridis said:

"Marin is one of the best guys to have ever joined Olympiacos. I am especially satisfied, in particular lately. He needs not prove something because he is a very good player. I expect many things from Marin from now on. He can achieve many things. As they say, he can do magic things on the pitch. I can see that he has started loving Olympiacos, the way we old-timers did. He plays with Olympiacos in his heart. And I expect many things from Marin because he is truly a very good player. I was particularly happy that he was voted as MPV of the latest matchday. I wish him to become even better. I also ask him to be careful in Sunday’s match against Larisa. I ask this of him as a personal favour; and I tell him today in order to excite him."

Marko Marin said: "It is of course nice to be winning this award. It is important for us to win the matches. I do my best in order to help the team. It is though nice to be winning this award."

As regards the new year: "First of all, I want us to win the title both for Olympiacos and our fans. It is our basic goal; personally, I want to help the team win titles and have a good campaign in the second round of the championship."
