The MVP award of the 30th matchday was awarded to Marcus Berg playing for Panathinaikos, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA.
After the ceremony, the Panathinaikos player stated: "I am of course really happy to be receiving this award once again. I did not expect it since as I said after the match against Apollonas, I was not satisfied with my performance and my side's display. However, I am happy to be given this award once again and I appreciate all the fans that voted for me."
On whether this is his best season these last years: "This is undoubtedly my best season these last years. I am happy and as I always say, I do my job and I have a good pace right now. I am happy things are going so well."
On whether he aims at becoming the Super League top goal scorer of the season: "It will be nice to become this season's top scorer, however, as I have said before, this does not really matter. The most important thing is that I help my team win and that we play good football. Scoring is always a bonus, however the most important thing is that I help our side, as I always try to do in every match."
On the away match against Atromitos: "We have won five matches in the row, however the match against Atromitos on Saturday will be a totally different match. Nonetheless, I believe that we have confidence. We have good chances to win and we will do everything to win this match. We may have lost in the home match against Atromitos during the first round, however this match belongs in the past and we now have a new game ahead of us and we will go there to win the three points."
