
The MVP award of the 9th matchday was awarded to Lucas Pérez Martínez playing for PAOK, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by Mr Alexandros Mamidakis, one of the sponsors of FC PAOK.
After the ceremony, the PAOK player stated:
"I am really happy, this is proof of the fans' appreciation that voted me as most valuable player. I believe that the most important thing is that I help the team so we can all achieve greater things."
On the fact that he wins the MVP award: "I am really happy about this. The most important thing is that the club does well, it is not just about my personal success."
On how he has acclimatised to Greece: "Yes, I believe that it took me some time to get used when compared with the conditions in Ukraine. I believe that everyone needs this, but I have now got used to the conditions and I believe that better things will come both for me and the club."
On the three successive important matches coming up: "I will be satisfied if we win all three matches. We are PAOK and we have to always win."
On the competitive roster of PAOK: "This is a positive thing for the club. We know that the coach will trust the players who are in the best condition. This competition is good for us."
On what he says to his own people in Spain about Salonica and PAOK: "I am really content because everyone has treated me nicely. Both Ι and my family feel well and for this I wish to thank everyone."
On whether his role changed in the match against Panthrakikos: "It is not important what I think, but what the coach thinks. Stevens is happy with the position I am playing."
On how he sees his future in PAOK: "I am optimistic about the future. I do not see anything else apart from being here and triumphing with PAOK."
