The MVP award of the 2nd matchday was awarded to Lazaros Lamprou playing for Panionios, who topped the competition organised by Super League Greece, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by the football director of the amateur division of Panionios, Dimitris Haniotakis.
After the ceremony, the Panionios player stated:
"First of all, I am very happy that I helped my team win. This is the most important thing. I of course feel happy that I am part of this team and I can help as much as I can in order to achieve our goals. I want to prove right the people that believe in me and brought me here. Also, the coach that includes me in the starting line-up," initially said the young striker.
On being named MVP of the matchday: "It's the award of a specific matchday. We play new matches every week. I have expectations and I hope this will be the first out of the many awards I want to win. The most important thing is for the team to win. Because it was this victory that brought me this award."
Mr Haniotakis stated the following:
"Lazaros is very good and we have to congratulate him twice. First of all for his competitive performance and secondly for his competitive moral standards, which live up to the expectations of Panionios."
