The MVP award for the 3rd matchday was awarded on Friday,  September 21, to Jonathan López playing for Veria, who topped the  competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of  Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA.

After the ceremony, the Veria player stated:

"I do not know how many voted for me, but I wish to thank them  because this award gives me great satisfaction. I am of course sorry  about my sent-off, but I received this red card to prevent the scoring  of a goal against my team so the result would be positive for us. As  regards Super League, I wish to say that it is a championship with a  very good standard. The crowd in the stands participates vividly in the  game and supports its team."
