The MVP award of the 11th matchday was awarded to Jakob Johansson playing for AEK, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by Mr Danny Iordanou (among the sponsors of the FC AEK).
After the ceremony, the AEK player stated the following:
"I scored a great goal in this match. I made a good run and received the ball from Barbosa. It was an important goal for us that helped us win the game. It's easier for me to score from my new position. I step more into the box and this usually helps me create chances by participating in the team's attacking play and also score goals.
Finally, the Swedish ace talked about being named MVP of the matchday:
"My first goal was not to win many awards, but to play good football and evolve as a player. I think I achieved this and will keep trying in the future too."
Mr Iordanou said about Johnasson:
"Johansson is a player that generally honours Greek football and our side in particular. You don't have to say many things for players like him. He doesn't like that himself. He proves his worth on the pitch. I hope that he will be with us for many years, that he will stay healthy and that he will be able to win the titles he deserves."s
