The Best Goal award of the 4th matchday was awarded to Igor de Souza playing for Panthrakikos, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by the Vice President of the Hellenic Football Federation, Mr Manos Gavriilidis.

After the ceremony, the Panthrakikos player stated:

"I feel happy to be receiving this award and wish to thank the fans of Panthrakikos and all fans in general for voting my goal as the best goal of the matchday.

My family and I feel quite good in Komotini since the environment is ideal. All people are very helpful and friendly and always support us. We keep improving as a club and what I can promise is that we will work hard to achieve even better results in the following matches of the championship.  We are now thinking about the match against Veria which we must win."

Asked about his 6-year-old son Lua who started attending a Greek elementary school as well as about the boy's training sessions with the Panthrakikos Academy, he commented that: "He likes football very much, so we go to the training sessions every day. As regards school, he has had some lessons and already learnt some Greek words."

The Vice President of the Hellenic Football Federation stated the following: "I am happy that a regional club is receiving this award and I am doubly glad since it is the club of the city I live in."

Asked about the Development Plan of the Hellenic Football Federation, he replied that: "The Hellenic Football Federation, in cooperation with the Head Coach of the Greek National Team Mr Fernando Santos, is paying close attention to young ages and we wish for clubs to have young Greek footballers in their rosters. This year, following discussions with the Super League, the association will organise the U-15 youth league and I hope the results will prove us right."
