The Best Goal award of the 20th matchday was awarded to Giorgos Theodoridis playing for Panetolikos, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by Mr Giorgos Mandellos, a veteran player of Panetolikos.

After the ceremony, the Panetolikos player stated:

"I feel real honoured that the fans voted for my goal. I feel proud and wish to thank everyone."

As regards the goal he scored, he said: "We were playing the last ten minutes of the match and the ball landed high on my right foot. In these cases, you just try to take the shot. I was lucky enough to make a good contact with the ball and send it to the corner of the nets, thus scoring the goal that greatly helped us win the match. The whole team fought hard to win this match, especially during the second half."

On the five Best Goal awards (two for Theodoridis, three for Camara) and the two MVP awards the Panetolikos players have won this season, he commented: "What we do is give our best while on the pitch. The fans can judge for themselves. It could be that our playing style fits us well and a player can distinguish himself or another player can score a beautiful goal. The team is united and we all try for the best. We are really happy when receiving such awards. We have to remain focused and be modest so that the team can go as high as possible and then look at each one's personal achievements."

Following the match, he dedicated the win to her. He now dedicated this award as well to the 7-year-old Anastasia, whom Panetolikos aided financially in order to help her cure her vision problem: "The whole team and me personally dedicate this award to the little girl Anastasia who we all know must have an immediate operation abroad. We dedicate it to this little girl and we hope people will respond and help so as to make this operation, that is necessary for Anastasia, possible."

Mr Mandellos stated the following: "I am really happy and honoured to be presenting this award to Giorgos Theodoridis, who is also a friend of mine. He is a real asset for Panetolikos and our city, in terms of his personality too. I believe he is among the good footballers playing in the Super League this season."

He was optimistic that the club will not get relegated and will in fact secure a good place in the table: "I watch Panetolikos all the time and believe that this is a really good team. Following the transfers made, which are really good as I found out, I believe the team will manage to be among the top 6 clubs in the classification list."
