The MVP award of the 26th matchday was awarded to Giorgos Kantimiris playing for Veria, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by Giorgos Masadis, veteran goalkeeper of Veria.
After the ceremony, the Veria player stated:
"This award certainly means a lot. After all the hard work, I receive the MVP award of the matchday. I hope to continue like this, with hard work and modesty, the same way I have been behaving in football all these years, and see what happens after that. The most important thing is being acknowledged by the fans. I wish to thank them all for their support all these years, as well as my family, my wife and my children. I hope I will continue in the same way."
On the coming match of Veria against Apollonas and whether this is yet another "final", he stated:
"All matches are like "finals" for Veria. We need to continue the same way we played in the last two away difficult matches against good teams. We need to be modest and focused and use our brains."
On what will determine the match of Veria against Apollonas:
"It will be determined by the passion and the will of the two clubs. Veria is the club that has the advantage, as we have proven with our display."
On the fans:
"We expect the fans to support us, we have asked all Veria supporters and we hope they will be there to help us."
