The MVP award of the 5th matchday was awarded to Dimitris Kyriakidis playing for Panetolikos, who topped the competition organised by Super League Greece, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by Mr Kostas Kalyvas, veteran goalkeeper of Panetolikos.
After the ceremony, he stated the following:
On the award:
"I am very happy about the award; it will make me want to work harder. But I wouldn't be here had it not been for my teammates. We all exceeded ourselves so that I could end up with this award and one precious point for the team."
On whom he dedicates this award to:
"I wish to dedicate it to my family, who are always by my side and support me, and the family of Panetolikos."
On the club's campaign so far:
"We did not play well in the first match, but showed a different face in the next two matches. This is how we want to continue, by focusing on each separate match, and we will see what we achieved at the end."
On his consistent performance and his really good displays:
"I want to continue in the same pace. It's not easy, this is why I work every day. I try to be as best as I can and help my team."
On being potentially called to play in the National Team:
"All players work in their clubs with this goal in their mind as well. It's what I do too. I hope this will happen one day."
