The Board of the Super League decided during today's Board meeting, among others, the following:
1/ It was unanimously decided to request the restart of the Super League Championship on 7, 8 and 9 March 2015 with the staging of the 27th matchday, as well as to request the HFF and NOVA, in case of the continuation of the Championship, to stage the 26th matchday on 18 and 19 March 2015.
2/ The Board unanimously adopted specific proposals in order to come up with appropriate solutions to deal with violence:
Α/ Super League agrees with the full implementation of the electronic ticket and cameras system as soon as possible in the stadia that such are not currently available, taking into consideration the systems already existing in the stadia (which, in many cases, fulfil more stringent specifications in relation to the requirements of the law).
Β/ Super League decided to propose to HFF the harmonisation of its Disciplinary Code with UEFA's disciplinary regulations.
C/ Super League decided to ban the organised transportations of fans until the end of the Championship.
D/ Security Services: Super League asks for more rights to be granted to stadia security staff by legal provisions, so they may be able to perform body control of fans at stadia ingress.
E/ Fan clubs: Super League requests the recognition of fan clubs as associations in accordance with the Civil Code and to be recognised by the relevant Football Club. The Football Club will only provide Fan Clubs with individual tickets for their members, based on the recognition thereof in accordance with the aforementioned. If a specific Fan Club or its members commit acts of violence, then such members of said Fan Club will be banned from entering the stadium.
F/ We shall request the reinstatement of Statutory Offence following an immediate legislative adjustment so that perpetrators of violent occurrences may be sanctioned too, in accordance with the Law.
3/ We shall request HFF to issue an immediate strict directive to the Central Refereeing Committee / Referees to abandon a match when direct shot flares are fired towards the pitch or when objects are thrown that can cause personal injury or in case of pitch invasion.
4/ The Board majority did not admit the request of FC OFI to appoint the match between FC ATROMITOS – FC OFI and reinstate the four (4) points deduction imposed due to the cases of Jorge Lopez and Jordi Lopez, though at the same time admitted the right of FC OFI to submit the matter before the Appeals Committee of HFF.
