Question by Lazaros Kaitsis
What does Niki Volos mean to you?
Niki is a great and historic club in my opinion. I am not just working for the club, I have bonded with it. I became a professional player in Niki Volos. We achieved a historic promotion that will be forever etched on our minds. Niki have a great history and they deserve to be in the Super League.
Question by Thomas Fotiadis, Fedonas Xanthis
Which do you believe is the most beautiful and also the most important goal you have scored as a Niki Volos player?
The most important goal is the one I scored last season during the 2nd matchday of the play-offs in EAK against Olympiacos Volou. It was a goal that essentially helped the team be on a rising track again given that everyone thought we were out of the race. The importance of that goal is what also made it so beautiful for me.
Question by Panayotis Papadopoulos
What would you like to say to the fans and supporters of Niki Volos?
I wish to say to the fans and supporters of Niki Volos the following: Last year we were united and we achieved the impossible. This year is no exception. Niki, due to not having received a license, did not manage to plan they first presence, after 48 years, in the top league appropriately. But this should not deter them. On the contrary. They must believe in the club. They should continue to support us this year as well, like they always do. We should once again exceed ourselves (the president, the players and the fans).
Question by Yorgos Kontos
Do you believe that even with great effort, the club will manage to stay in the division?
I believe that day by day, match by match, the team will find their way and will manage to stay in the division.
Do you believe that every match from now on is a "final" for you?
As I mentioned before, due the fact we did not receive a license we had a limited number of transfers. We knew this from the beginning. We were aware that this season would be difficult. All matches are like finals to us and we must fight in every match to achieve a positive outcome.
What are your personal targets? Would you wish to play for an international club at some point?
Every player's target is to become a better footballer. My priority at the moment is to achieve the target of Niki Volos securing its position in the league. Following this, I would like to play for an international club at some point, to play in advanced football championships.
Question by Despina Mourou
What do you believe changed and you started achieving positive results?
Following the appointment of Mr Tzanavaras, the team has shown great improvement. We work hard and methodically every day. Our defence has improved considerably. We need to work a bit more on the midfield-offensive part in order to be able to score more.
Do you believe that the fact that you have scored three goals only in eight matches is the reason behind your current position?
It is definitely an important factor because there can be no victory with no goals scored. We still have a long way ahead of us; I believe we will improve on this as well.
What are your hobbies?
I do not have much spare time because training sessions are hard and daily. I nonetheless enjoy a stroll with my friends at the beach since Volos is a really beautiful city. I also go to the movies very often.
Were you not a footballer, what would you rather be and why?
I always enjoyed sports and I was lucky enough to get involved with football from a young age. I never thought of doing something else.
