The Best Goal award of the 21st matchday was awarded to Christos Tzanis playing for Panthrakikos, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by Panthrakikos major shareholder, Mr Tasos Karaolanis.
After the ceremony, the Panthrakikos player stated:
"This is a great honour and I wish to thank the fans that voted my goal as best goal of the matchday. I of course need to dedicate this to my teammates as well as to the whole family of Panthrakikos: the administration, the coaches, the supporting staff and everyone in the football department. I also wish to dedicate this award to my family and to my girlfriend."
On the match against Veria: "This is a hard match, Veria is a good team and we need to pay attention to their offensive action; we prepare accordingly and I believe we will have a very good display, as we have done in all our matches so far."
Mr Karaolanis stated the following: "We present this award to Christos who today, the day being Thursday, completes one year of presence in our club. I hope he will continue to be healthy and work the same way, and receive many more awards as a player of Panthrakikos; it all depends on him."
The Panthrakikos major shareholder also replied to a question regarding the club's presence in the championship: "We will try to keep the pace we have. Our first concern is to not get relegated. We are doing well, but we also need to secure our place in terms of points. As soon as our place is secure, we will see if we can achieve something more."
