The Best Goal award of the 17th matchday was awarded on Friday, January 17, to Antonis Petropoulos playing for AEK, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by the CEO of AVANCE company, Mr Giorgos Tsakatouras.

After the ceremony, the AEK player stated the following:

"It was an important goal; however, a goal is the result of teamwork and my teammates are the ones passing the ball to me. I hope all players will always be healthy so we can continue our hard work, which is for AEK to exit this dire situation.

We have ahead of us a series of matches that we can handle; we will try to win all these matches in order to amass the required points so we can move up the table and we have all the potential to do this.

Mr Giorgos Tsakatouras stated:

"I wish Petropoulos will score more goals in order to help AEK achieve their goal."
