Question by Nikos Skondras
Atromitos always play to win and as they have proven, they have a team that can win any opponent. Is winning the championship one of your goals? Have you talked with your teammates and the coaches about this possibility?
"Now, see, there are 5-6 clubs in the Greek championship that can win a title and I will include Atromitos in this team of clubs. But after watching the match of Olympiacos against Bayern, I realised that it's really difficult for our team to win the first place."
Question by Vassilis Tsakiridis
What was the thing that made you choose to come to Greece and Atromitos?
"I had several opportunities in the past to come to Greece, but this one appeared to be the most appropriate. I talked to Agouazi and Djebbour who only had good things to tell me and urged me to make this decision. Atromitos are a really good and stable club that participate in European competitions every year; they are also based in Athens, which is very important."
Question by Panayotis Lampropoulos
What is your goal this year?
"I think that our goals are clear. We want to qualify for the play-offs and from there qualify directly to the Europa League group stage. However, we are also interested in advancing in the Greek Cup competition; I know that my team played in two successive Cup finals but did not manage to win the trophy, for different reasons."
Question by Makis Vitatos
What do you think went wrong in your home match against Skoda Xanthi where you lost?
"In football, when you can't score, you can't win. We lost many opportunities to score a goal and two to three times the Xanthi defenders cleared the ball right on the goal line. I have to admit though that our opponents were very well organised and gave us a hard time. We knew beforehand that this match was not going to be easy."
Question by Paraskevas Fesopoulos
Having mainly played football in France, what are the differences between the French and the Greek championship, in your opinion?
"The differences are big. In France, the championship is very hard and the teams use tactics and technique in their game. No matter how surprising this may seem, French clubs play more closely contrary to Greek clubs who play more openly. And this is coming from me; I have been only been with Atromitos for a short period, but I saw that all clubs coming to our stadium prefer to play closely."
Question by Minas Karatousis
Which was the best and which was the worst moment in your football career?
"I would say that I had two great moments: The U-17 World Cup that we won with France as well as the French Cup I won with Sochaux against Marseille. My worst moments were my injuries. I will never forget an injury I sustained while playing for Auxerre: I had to stay away from action for three months and could not therefore help my team that were at the time participating in the Champions League."
Question by Vangelis Barbarounis
If you could go back in time, is there something you would change in your football career?
"When I was young, I was not cool-headed. I once went to Rafa Benitez and told him that "I want to play". Do you know what the result was? For the next four years, I was constantly on loan from Liverpool."
Question by Leonidas Georgakis
What would you like to say to the fans and supporters of Atromitos?
"We are all good, quality players. They can rest assured that we will win many matches this season. We will not forget the match against Xanthi and we will make a fresh start in the match against Giannina."
Question by Vassilis Gkatsos
What is your personal goal as a player of Atromitos?
"My sole goal is to score many goals and help my team achieve their goals. I also enjoy very much serving assists to my teammates. I hope to be equally successful in both my goals."
Question by Efstathios Hanias
What do you think about the life in Greece and in Athens?
"I really enjoy this country, this city. The weather is basically wonderful. I come from Northern France where the weather is rainy and often cold. Athens is an amazing city, you can find everything and I am really happy to be here."
Question by Alexandros Karras
Who was the key person that convinced you to come to Greece during a period when the country is under capital controls?
"Pavlos Topidis (note: his Greek representative). He spoke very highly of the country as well as Atromitos. He told me that things will get better and that I should not hesitate at all. So far, everything goes great and after having talked with my teammates, I realised that I will have no problems here, in Atromitos, and that I can focus on doing my job."
Question by Yorgos Kotsopoulos
Which one of your teammates has impressed you so far and you believe he could or can play for a European club?
"I do not to wish to name someone because this would be unfair to some of my teammates. Besides, the quality of each player shows on the pitch. I however believe that four or five players could easily play for a European club and I wish this for them."
