The experienced defender of Lamia Anestis Anstasiadis... dribbled the fans in the standard INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK and replied… off the pitch as well. Anestis said about the fans: "The love we feel every day while in the city, the worry of the fans about the team's progress and the positive disposition towards the players, is a real boost to us".

Question by Ioannis Kakavas
Anestis, we, the Lamia fans are very lucky to have you in our team: My question: In what ways can Greek modern football improve in the following years so that it is among the best in Europe and our teams can therefore excel in European competitions?
Thank you for your question! I also feel lucky and happy to be in Lamia. In order to improve Greek football, we must pay attention to youth football. We must educate and train children in a specialised way as they do abroad and produce players through specific work; then, given that Greek players are talented, by providing them with all these aptitudes, we will truly and greatly upgrade Greek football in the long term.
Question by Ioannis Kakouras
I would like to ask Anestis two questions.
1st question: Are you happy to be living and playing in Lamia?
2nd question: Besides the goal of remaining in the Super League, do you believe that the goal of finishing the championship in one of the top positions of the list and therefore winning a place in the qualification round of the European competitions, is a feasible target? This question applies in the long term, say in the next five years.
MAY YOU STAY FOREVER IN LAMIA!!!
Both my family and I are very happy to be in Lamia and be part of the city's team. I believe that step by step, we can achieve many things. Our goal this year is to remain in the league and I believe that, by setting the proper basis, the team will compete for more each year.
Question by Kimonas Hatzigeorgiou
Where does LAMIA draw all this passion from when playing at home and achieve such important results against big opponents, given that this the club's first time in history in Super League?
I believe that the team draws its strength and passion from the fans coming to the stadium. The love we feel every day while in the city, the worry of the fans about the team's progress and the positive disposition towards the players, is a real boost to us.
Question by Nikos Manousopoulos
What do you think about this year's championship and Lamia's campaign so far?
This year's championship is very interesting, undecided and keeps fans on edge. The team's campaign so far is positive, however, we will see how we did overall at the end.
Question by Yorgos Koropoulis
If you could go back in time, what would you change in your career and why?
If I could go back in time, I would maybe extend my time abroad so I could evolve better as a player. Given this, I have not regretted any decisions I have made. I have gained something out of everything.
Question by Manolis Akrivakis
What does Lamia need in order to remain in the league?
One more point than the second to last club! (he laughs)
Question by Kostas Hantidis
Which of your opponents, both on an individual and on a team level, have you set apart in the championship so far? Which player would you like as your teammate and why?
On a team level, I have set Atromitos apart. On an individual level, Risvanis, Mantalos and Pelkas. I would like them as my teammates because they are Greeks and are sensitive to the team's rhythm.
THE WINNER OF THE DRAW FOR THE SIGNED SOUVENIR BY ANESTIS ANASTASIADIS, OFFERED BY FC LAMIA 1965, IS MR IOANNIS KAKOURAS.
