The MVP award of the 21st matchday was awarded to André Alves playing for Panetolikos, who topped the competition organised by Super League, the Panhellenic Association of Professional Players (PSAP) and NOVA. The award was presented by the General Secretary of the Association of Veteran Players of Panetolikos, Mr Vassilis Xanthopoulos, in the presence of members of the Club's Board.
After the ceremony, the Panetolikos player stated:
"I am really happy that the fans voted for me. I dedicate this award to my family, to the club and to our fans. This was an important victory for our side and I believe there are more to follow. I will personally do my best to help Panetolikos achieve their targets."
The veteran goalkeeper Mr Vassilis Xanthopoulos said: "It's an important moment for me to be presenting this award to André Alves and I feel great joy. His performance and the two goals he scored in the match against PAOK made us happy; this was a match where our side celebrated their greatest win in their history. I wish André and all people of the club to continue contributing to Greek football the way they have done for so many years, both on and off the pitch. Mr Kostoulas's administration makes us proud, given all they have contributed both to society and football. I wish for Panetolikos to achieve their targets and give us the unique experience of participating in a European club competition."
