Super League, in the framework of the actions it takes, aiming at the upgrading and modernisation of Greek football, organises the 1st International Professional Football Administration Conference "Footballabout" to be held in the Divani Caravel Hotel; Greek and international leading football executives will share their opinions in the conference.
This conference is the first step for a creative discussion of the football family for the further development of the sport in Greece as a social and financial activity.

Goal
The main goal of the conference is to review a different, modern and scientific aspect concerning the organization and administration of sports and football in particular and more specifically:
To inform the parties involved in professional football and the public in general, about the Super League view regarding football administration, as well as modern football administration methods. To integrate the concept of education and to link the science of administration with professional football. To update on latest developments in the international market of professional football. To form proposals and draw conclusions.

1st Session
The social and financial aspect of football
At a time of rapid social and financial rearrangements, professional football interacts with society and the economy developed in it, at all levels (local, national and international).
In this session:
a) we will approach the current status of the sport on a club and national championships level; and
b) we will examine the risks and opportunities presented, as well as the problems arising and the way to solve them, on a financial and playing level.
2nd Session
Financial administration, audit and monitoring of football clubs and competitions
Financial administration in professional clubs and competitions, is a crucial factor for their function. This session will cover:
a) the consequences of the financial crisis in Greek and European football;
b) administration, audit and monitoring methods of the financial data of football clubs and competitions.

3rd Session
Development of grassroots and football academies
Football academies are one of the most important functions of a club, since they develop and train not only professional players, but also coaches, referees, officers and fans.
In this session:
a) we will analyse the significance of grassroots for clubs;
b) we will examine the requirements for their proper function; and
c) we will examine proposals and functional models.
4th Session
The role of the media in shaping the image of professional football
The shaping of the image of professional football depends on the smooth collaboration with the media.
In this session:
a) we will examine the role of technology and the recently developed alternative media;
b) we will examine the role of football star players in the promotion of the sport; and
c) we will examine the necessity for an effective administration of the relations between people involved in football and media representatives.
5th Session
Commercial upgrading and exploitation of football. Football as a communication platform
Football is a great part of spare time industry on a world level. It is a platform of communicating multiple messages, not all of them necessarily football-related, and creates investment opportunities for companies and organisations.
In this session:
a) we will examine market modern trends in relation with football events;
b) we will examine the role of image and parallel activities of football organisations as brands; and
c) we will examine new methods of commercial and communicative exploitation of football clubs and competitions.
6th Session
Research and education
Research contributes to the solution of problems in a direct and objective manner.
Through education, the knowledge produced by research is communicated to the appropriate people, so they can be more effective in their work.
In this session:
a) we will present the activities of football organisations in research and education issues;
b) we will examine the areas of football in which research and education activities need be developed;
c) we will present the method for financing these activities.

Workshop for pitch maintenance
Workshop for the insurance coverage of players
This session will cover the practices for securing a healthy environment for football players in key areas such as the condition of the pitch and the medical coverage of professional football players.
